Leigh-Ann Russell serves as Chief Information Officer and Global Head of Engineering, as well as a member of the BNY Executive Committee. In her current role, she oversees the organization’s technological and engineering strategy, driving innovation, operational efficiency, and digital transformation.
Before joining BNY, Leigh-Ann was part of BP’s Executive Committee, reporting directly to the CEO. As Executive Vice President, Innovation & Engineering, she oversaw the roles of Chief Scientist, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Digital Officer. In a prior role as BP’s Chief Procurement Officer, she was responsible for leading the company’s safe, ethical, and competitive supply chain operations.
Leigh-Ann’s extensive career is rooted in engineering and operations. Her previous leadership roles at BP included Engineering Manager, Operations Manager, and Vice President of Technical Functions, where she directed Process Safety, Engineering, and Operations disciplines.
